Solo indie developer BuchioGames is bringing a fresh take on sci-fi action to mobile with SNO snow white, launching next month on iOS and Android. Pre-registration is now open, offering you early access to a distinctively layered experience that combines classic 2D action with first-person 3D puzzle-solving in a metroidvania-inspired format.
SNO snow white is set entirely on the titular planet, Snow White, with the story exploring themes of AI, human memory, and unseen realities. As you delve deeper into ancient facilities, decrypt lost data, and confront interdimensional threats, the tension builds toward a truth that challenges the very structure of reality.
In terms of gameplay, you’ll engage primarily with a dimension-shifting mechanic, where you switch between side-scrolling exploration and 3D first-person views. You take control of Global, a former AI war hero who arrives on the frozen planet to investigate a mysterious unease spreading through its ancient ruins.
The big shift comes when you activate the AD Mode (Another Dimension Mode), which allows you to peer into hidden 3D spaces, manipulate structures using tools like the AD Ball, and reshape the 2D world in unexpected ways. Along the way, you’ll take on strategically demanding boss fights, each requiring smart use of dimension-based abilities to counter evolving attack patterns.
