Ever since EA lost the FIFA name, it's been rather up in the air how we're going to see the top body for footballing make a return to games. That is, until now. Because Mythical Games' hotly anticipated arcade football simulator, FIFA Rivals, releases today for iOS and Android!

FIFA Rivals is very simple in concept, eschewing the more simulationist aspects of the EA series and Football Manager in favour of fast-paced arcade action. You'll be able to build up your own team using famous faces from across the Premier League, and duke it out both against AI rivals and other players.

Even if you're not all that fussed on the branding, however, said real-time PvP matches and even live events that let you climb the leaderboards will be a great opportunity to try out the variety of skill moves, trick shots and other signature plays from star athletes.
