When it comes to global hits, Devsisters' Cookie Run: Kingdom is arguably one of the more unusual ones out there. How did this pseudo-fantasy epic of baked goods and character-driven drama become so popular? Well, it likely has something to do with the constant high-quality updates and new additions, like today's major release called Illuminated By Vow.
As you might've gleaned from the title alone, Cookie Run: Kingdom's latest update introduces two new themed epic tier cookies with Black Forest Cookie and Wedding Cake Cookie. They arrive alongside a new themed event, Down the Aisle! Error Busters, in case you thought that the wedding theme was simply coincidental.
Of course, for my money, the most interesting new addition is that of the MyCookie Adventure, a new roguelike minigame where you'll be able to equip your cookie with new gear and battle it out with a veritable menagerie of foes. Oh, and we can't forget the four new costumes and two new icing sets to go with it!
There are a number of other smaller additions you'll want to jump in and check out too, like the addition of Master Mode to all of the Crispia locations. But going over all of that would be a bit too granular, suffice it to say this update is being touted so highly for a reason. It certainly makes me appreciate just how many dedicated fans Cookie Run has, and how Devsisters have leant into the somewhat over-the-top but clearly intentional tone of Cookie Run: Kingdom.
