1
Avatar World: City Life

We kick off the list with Avatar World - something we've had on our radar for a long time now. Avatar World has been around for a while, and while it underwent several changes and updates, it has now reached its peak form! There are several areas of the city to explore - with even more to be added in the future - and you can not only create a unique avatar from every point of view (something that will reflect exactly how you would like to look in a video game), but you can also make lots of friends.
Essentially, you can befriend everybody you meet in the city, and even go out for a day at the beach or to concerts. The developers are keeping Avatar World updated regularly, so there's always a new adventure around the corner. It's the best one to try if you want something similar to Toca Boca, but with a slightly more Monster High-ish vibe when it comes to fashion!
2
Dopples World

Do you enjoy making lots of friends and creating your own story? In Dopples World, you can do just that and a lot more. You can freely decorate your own home however you like, you can make all sorts of scenarios and plays with the friends you make along the way, and even hang out at the cafe when you're tired!
With a visual style similar to the one in Avatar World, there's never a shortage of things to do or places to explore. Furthermore, there are also some secret spots you can try to find! You can discover these by interacting with various items around the world and seeing where they take you. Some of them came as a surprise even to me, so I'm sure if you decide to give Dopples World a try after playing Toca Boca, it will be a blast!
3
Jibi Land: Princess Castle

Jibi Land: Princess Castle looks like it's taken straight out of a fairytale. You can play inside a castle, explore its surroundings and solve all sorts of fun little puzzles or even go on treasure hunts. After you create your character, you can start diving straight in. It's similar to Toca Boca in many ways, but it has a more chibi style of animation, which makes it a little bit more anime-like.
You can dress up your character, ride a horse in your kingdom, and of course, befriend everybody around you! Jibi Land: Princess Castle is a pretend-dollhouse type of experience, which means you can move everyone around, interact with anything you like, and even redecorate the castle entirely! The only limit is your imagination.
4
Bubbu & Mimmi World

Bubbu & Mimmi World is a little different from the others on this list, but it boils down to the same core gameplay. You meet to take good care of Bubbu, a famous cat, and his friend, Mimmi. You can dress them up, take them on adventures, explore the colourful and playful world, and even develop problem-solving skills through puzzles and minigames.
From a visual standpoint, Bubbu & Mimmi World is a little more cartoonish, but it's got a certain charm that makes it appealing even to adults. It's an adorable alternative to add to your list of games like Toca Boca, especially if you want to try something a little different.
5
Dr. Panda Town Tales

Last but not least, we have Dr. Panda Town Tales, an immersive experience where everyone can enjoy an incredible adventure in the mystical world of Dr. Panda. You can create multiple characters (but only play one at a time), come up with fun scenarios to recreate with the characters, and let your imagination roam free. When you run out of ideas, you can always turn to redecorating.
Dr. Panda Town Tales gives you full creative freedom to create a beautiful home, and although the visuals appear to be quite minimal at first, there are a lot of elements that make this game similar to Toca Boca. It has all the elements of the latter, but it brings them into a new light in its own style. Oh, and there's also a subscription you can opt for, if you want to unlock even more areas of the world.
