Once you start playing Tribe Nine, it's hard to stop. It has such an engaging narrative and such a nice way of introducing the player to the system with its truly remarkable play style that any gacha enthusiast will fall in love with. And something every gacha lover needs is a way to rank their favourite characters, so they know what to aim for.

From the Tribe Nine tier list, you should get a clearer picture of which characters you should aim for (in case you want to reroll) and how you can reroll as well. All in all, I've watched the anime, I've read the webtoon, and I've played the game, so I can safely say it's a unique experience from every point of view.

I'm sure you'll find the Tribe Nine tier list I've created helpful because I tried my best to rank each character based on how well they perform in the game! Of course, no two tier lists are similar, so this is just my take on it.

The best character in Tribe Nine...

... is up for discussion.

Tribe Nine is an action RPG, so it all depends on what you like to play. You could argue that some characters are slightly better than others, but eventually, it all comes down to how well you perform while playing a specific one.

I strongly believe that you'll do better if you enjoy playing a specific character, even though it's not S+ tier. Regardless, I've ranked them all and added a reroll guide too, so if you want to check it out, you can do so on the following pages!

Note: If you want to min-max everything, I strongly suggest you follow the reroll guide I created (and claim the latest Tribe Nine codes) because you could start with a couple of 3* characters like I did!

Since the developers announced the service termination on November 27, 2025 JST, we won't keep updating this tier list moving forward.

1
S+ tier

tsuruko semba character
  • Tsuruko Semba
  • Kazuki Aoyama (releasing in Version 1.0.10)

Tsuruko Semba is not that easy to play, but she is extremely rewarding. She is ranged, she can deal good damage and she has a pretty decent support ability. Tsuruko can also deal AoE damage, which is good when facing multiple enemies at once. That's why she earns the spot on the throne of the Tribe Nine tier list along with Kazuki.

2
S tier

miu jujo character
  • Q
  • Miu Jujo
  • Enoki Yukigaya
  • Jio Takinogawa
  • Hinagiku Akiba
  • Minami Oi
  • Eiji Todoroki
  • Yo Kuronaka

Q is hands down one of my favourite characters in Tribe Nine. He can do pretty much anything, but most importantly, his Break Ability is through the roof. He can taunt enemies and thanks to his Berserk status, he can also tank pretty well. Super fun melee character to play!

Enoji Yukigaya is known for her big appetite outside of battles, but in battles, she has a pretty big appetite too... for damage. She has super high ATK and while she's not easy to command, once you master her, she will be super fun to toss enemies left and right.

Miu Jujo is a ranged attacker who can deploy her Luminous Crystal to attack enemies. She is not that easy to play with since, for her, positioning is everything. Regardless, she's good and you might find her play style quite compulsive.

3
A tier

koishi kohinata character
  • Roku Saigo
  • Koishi Kohinata
  • Yutaka Gotanda
  • Santaro Mita

Yutaka Gotanda is a ranged DPS who does AoE damage. His Attack is not that high, but he is easy to play and has average Break and Support abilities.

Koishi Kohinata is among the first characters you will unlock from the story mode. He can heal allies and attack enemies, which is pretty decent. His attack is not that high, but his heals are decent.

4
B tier

tsuki iroha character page
  • Hyakuichitaro Senju
  • Tsuki Iroha

Characters at the bottom of the Tribe Nine tier list are not that great. You will get Tsuki Iroha from the story mode, and she is a mix of support, break and attack. She's not that good, and the same goes for Senju. I recommend not bothering with these two at all.

Tribe Nine reroll guide (easy mode)

main menu with rerolling process in tribe nine

I strongly believe all gachas should have such an easy reroll process. In Tribe Nine, you can simply play through the tutorial once, do your summons, and then delete your data to start all over again but without having to play through the tutorial.

It's a neat process, and it's worth rerolling if you want to go for the best characters. Here is how you reroll in Tribe Nine:

Part 1
  • DO NOT LINK YOUR ACCOUNT YET.
  • Play once through the tutorial until you unlock the gacha (Synchro).
  • Open your mail, and claim all the rewards. Claim the event rewards too, and any codes are available.
  • Go summon in the Character Synchro as many times as you can. I recommend the time-limited one if you want to get one of the latest characters.
  • If you got the character you wanted, congrats! Otherwise, it's time to move on to the reoll process.
Part 2
  • If you didn't get the character you wanted, go to the Menu > Return to Title.
  • There, you can open the Menu again and select Delete Player Data.
  • Once you've done that, start the game and just hit Skip Tutorial.

The game will leave you in the lobby, where you can do the summons, so all you have to do there is go to your mailbox, claim the rewards, and start summoning once again. If you didn't like what you got, rinse and repeat.

And if you ever get bored of this one, there are similar games. We made a Valhalla Survival tier list where we have compared characters and skills, and if that doesn't suit you, try the Grimguard Tactics tier list or some other. We have hundreds of similar titles; look around!
