Endless Grades: Pixel Saga is a retro-inspired take on the JRPG genre, out now on Android
Coming soon to iOS

- Endless Grades: Pixel Saga offers retro-inspired JRPG action
- Collect and upgrade distinctive heroes and even craft your own equipment
- Journey into dungeons and gather upgrade materials as you battle demons
If you're looking for a retro-inspired JRPG then there's a new entrant in that niche but bold subgenre. Endless Grades is not about college examinations, despite the name, but it does offer plenty of homework for you to do when it comes to making your way through this nostalgia-fuelled new release that's out now on Android and coming to iOS on April 1st.
Endless Grades: Pixel Saga as you might expect trades on the fondness of players for the RPG days of yore, and while its graphics are not quite as visually striking as something like Octopath Traveller it's still quite pleasing to look at. You'll gallivant around collecting new and distinct heroes, crafting weapons and fighting your way through dungeons.
By the looks of things, the only crucial hangup I can see many people having is that Endless Grades looks to be leaning into the auto-battler mechanic, something which can be a bit divisive at best. But if you're fond of that and want a new take, aesthetically, on the well-trod JRPG mobile genre then maybe this is worth a look.

With everything from character collecting to crafting mechanics, it does seem as if Endless Grades has everything to offer new players. But as always there's that caveat of boasting about rather subjective mechanics like high SSR pull rates. And I can't be the only one who thinks that's a bit crass, especially when it'd be far better for the folks behind Endless Grades to let this impressive retro-inspired RPG speak for itself.
