If you've been eagerly awaiting the release of XD Games' Etheria: Restart, then you'll be pleased to find out you won't have to wait long for its last closed beta test. Because the final CBT before launch is now live! With sign-ups available via your preferred storefront or the official website, this is your last chance to get hands-on before Etheria: Restart launches June 5th.
Etheria: Restart is set in a near-future world where humanity has transferred their consciousnesses into a virtual sanctuary called Etheria. Within this new world, they co-exist with digital beings called Animus, but when a new threat called the Genesis Virus threatens this fragile peace, it's up to the Hyperlinker Union (and you) to combat the threat.
With flashy 3D visuals and different, distinct heroes, Etheria: Restart is selling itself based on the promise of intriguing interplay and synergy between different heroes. You're encouraged to create new and different teams to take advantage of how each Animus interacts.
While there are plenty of hero RPGs on the market, Etheria: Restart and its 'live arena' experience promises to try and stand out. This newest closed-beta test offers a surprisingly intimate look at some of the more stand-out features, such as the competitive draft-style PvP Real Time Arena, Guild vs Guild Combat and a snapshot of the Etheria World Summit competitive PvP tournament.
Naturally, you'll also have a chance to try out the new SSR Animus Freya ahead of launch. So the closed beta is certainly not lacking in content, but it'll be up to players whether it's enough to make Etheria: Restart stand out from the crowd.
