FAU-G: Domination makes its mark with impressive stats one month in
Made in India

- FAU-G: Domination has been out for a month
- We now have stats on how this Indian-made shooter is doing
- Strong player interest and reception to Indian cultural themes stand out
For fans of the Indian shooter market, one of the most anticipated releases, alongside Indus, has been FAU-G: Domination. For the rest of us, this Indian-made FPS presents a possible breakthrough hit that could change the landscape domestically, or at the very least show how locally developed releases can make their mark.
Now, we've got some stats from the first months since FAU-G: Domination released, and they make for interesting reading, to be sure. Players have made over 30 million eliminations, with 3.44 million being headshots. They've also spent an average of 50 minutes a day playing.
Meanwhile, in terms of maps, players seem to have warmed to the depiction of local sights and gravitated towards Basti, which has been played 2.9 million times. Basti is a tribute to Mumbai, the city where developer Dot9 is based. In terms of real-world cities, Delhi, Patna, Lucknow, Pune and Jaipur rank top in terms of players.

Unspoken
There are, of course, some interesting omissions here. Exact player numbers, for example. And while there does seem to be a groundswell of interest in FAU-G: Domination, part of that could also be attributed to a popular prize-draw event taking place thanks to a partnership with IceSpice (the store, not the musician).Ultimately, while these are all mainly good signs, it will take a while before we know whether FAU-G: Domination can be a true COD-killer for the Indian mobile market. For the time being, at least, local fans can be heartened to see a homegrown hit receive such attention.
