Space Invaders Infinity Gene Evolve receives major new update on Apple Arcade
It's evolution, baby

- Space Invaders Infinity Gene Evolve is seeing a major new update
- The iconic Black-Fly craft from cult-classic Metal Black is arriving
- There's also a wealth of new quality-of-life alterations
There are few series as truly timeless as Space Invaders. Gaming overall would not be nearly the same as it is now without Taito's iconic arcade shooter. And now in the Apple Arcade-exclusive Space Invaders Infinity Gene Evolve, you can experience a whole new major update, which adds a host of new content.
One of the biggest additions in this update is the Black-Fly Craft from the cult classic Tito arcade cabinet, Metal Black. Unlocked via tokens you can collect, you'll be able to bring this ship to the field, and new achievements have also been added for those who love to hunt them down.
Next up, there's one of the more pertinent additions for Space Invaders fanatics, and that's the addition of new enemies to Challenge Mode. There are also miscellaneous changes to the general presentation and a refresh to the app icon.

But that's not all, Infinity Gene Evolve has also had a few updates. The Home Bar now requires two touches, so you (ideally) won't be accidentally switching apps. And there's also been the announcement of more regular updates, including new ships and stages.
Suffice it to say, then, if you're a loyal player, you'll be happy that there's a new refresh to this arcade classic. Apple Arcade is the home of a great many such releases, both exclusive and otherwise. And you can check out all of them, old and new, on our definitive list of Apple Arcade releases!
