Cookie Run: Kingdom Topping Tart guide - delicious details

Topping Tarts are the latest addition brought to Cookie Run: Kingdom, and they're meant to make your cookies even stronger. But one question arises - how do they work, and what exactly do you need to get on them? And also, how do you activate those bonuses? That's what I am here to answer in this Cookie Run: Kingdom Topping Tarts guide!
How to unlock Topping Tarts in CRK
The first thing you need to know in order to move forward is to unlock Topping Tarts. This can be done by first building the mines. An option will appear on your kingdom, right next to the Windmill Garden, and it costs absolutely nothing. Just tap to unlock the mines (they will be rebuilt in 0 seconds) and here's where things get fun.How to get Topping Tarts
You can get Topping Tarts in a few ways actually. You don't necessarily have to craft them, at least not at the time of release. Here are all the ways you can get Topping Tarts in Cookie Run: Kingdom:- Shop (you can purchase packs that give you specific Topping Tarts)
- Events (you'll get a few Topping Tarts as event rewards and login rewards)
- Crafting
Crafting Topping Tarts
To craft Topping Tarts, you need a few items. You can craft 3 different types: Common, Rare, and Epic. Just like normal Toppings, Topping Tarts of Epic rarity are the best. Those are the ones you should aim to obtain for the main cookies on your team (at least for the ones on your Arena team). The amount of materials needed for each type requires different materials, as follows:
- Common Topping Tarts+: 50 Flour Stone
- Rare Topping Tarts+: 10 Sugar Ore + 100 Flour Stone
- Epic Topping Tarts+: 1 Butter Amber + 20 Sugar Ore + 200 Flour Stone

- Epic 0.3%, Rare 3%, Common 96.7% when crafting Common Topping Tarts
- Epic 3%, Rare 97% when crafting Rare Topping Tarts
- Epic 100% when crafting Epic Topping Tarts
It goes without saying that you need to save your Flour Stone and Sugar Ore for those times you get your hands on some Butter Amber.
How to get materials to craft Epic Topping Tarts
Since the materials for crafting them are kinda scarce, I've got a few tips to help you get your hands on some Butter Amber and Sugar Ore, as well as increase the amount of Flour Stone you get.Flour Stone
You can buy Flour Stone from the Mine Workshop (from the Shop on the bottom left corner), but you can also break down the Topping Tarts you don't use for some additional Flour Stone. Additionally, if you're lucky, you can also find an option in the Ore Vein Cards to go Mine for Flour Stone.Sugar Ore
Sugar Ore can also be bought in the Mine Workshop, just like every other item, but you can also obtain this item in a couple more ways. One of these is from the Mine option. When you go Ore Vein Mining you can opt to mine for Sugar Ore.Butter Amber
Butter Amber is a little different. This item can be bought from the Mine Workshop for 200 Tart Essence. I suggest you save all of your Tart Essence (obtained by dismantling Topping Tarts) and spend them only on Butter Amber. How to equip Topping Tarts
Equipping Topping Tarts is fairly straightforward: you pick a cookie of your choice, and then tap on Toppings. There you'll see a new tab called "Topping Tart". Head there, and pick a Topping Tart that MATCHES the Toppings of your cookie.Basically, if a cookie has 5 Searing Raspberry topping pieces, you need to use a Searing Raspberry Tart. That will count as a 6-piece bonus set, which further increases the stats granted by the Toppings.
Picking the best Topping Tarts
As you might have noticed, Topping Tarts also come with an additional bonus stat. That stat matches the type of Topping, so for example, a Searing Raspberry Tart will give you some additional ATK, while a Hard Walnut Tart will give you additional DEF. These stats cannot be changed into something else, but their numbers can.You should always aim for a Topping Tart with stats written in yellow or purple text. Those are the ones with the highest stats possible - in a way, think of them like you would on Beascuits, when you reroll for better stats.
Hopefully, this guide cleared up some of the confusion set around the release of Topping Tarts! If you're curious about the new cookie, I've created an Agar Agar Cookie guide just for you! Also, don't miss the latest CRK codes!
