Honkai: Star Rail, the hit ARPG from MiHoYo, has debuted its latest version with the new 2.4 update. This includes a new area, two new characters and news about an upcoming collaboration. So, let's dig into what Honkai: Star Rail version 2.4 has to offer!
Of course, the biggest news is always the addition of new areas, and 2.4 doesn't disappoint as it introduces The Shackling Prison. This high-security facility is the workplace of Xueyi and Hanya and boasts a huge layout to explore. Just be careful, because it's not just the inmates you have to worry about in The Shackling Prison.
Joining the roster are Yunli and Jiaoqiu, two new characters. Yunli is a sword hunter who'll be introduced in the upcoming Wardance event. Meanwhile, Jiauqiu is a fire-type character with unique and formidable abilities.
As noted, March 7th will introduce the new Wardance event. Meanwhile, limited-time characters Huohuo and Sparkle will be returning to rotation during the first and second halves of version 2.4 too.
Ironically, while Honkai: Star Rail stole the spotlight from predecessor Genshin Impact, successor Zenless Zone Zero is likely to do the same. It seems to be that one of MiHoYo's major strengths post-Genshin is going to be elevating their previous titles to the same superstar status as their major breakout hit.
