Pixel Quest: Realm Eater lets you collect magical creatures' essence to craft artifacts across a match-3 RPG, coming soon
  • Build your pixel hero squad
  • Collect creatures and use their essence to craft artifacts
  • More than 700 levels to conquer

Seems like "pixel" is the word for the day on my to-do list at work at the moment, given Pixel Civilisation and Pixel Quest: Realm Eater will be launching soon. Now, the latter will apparently only be on iOS, featuring lovely fantasy characters to collect and mystical realms to explore across a match-3 RPG.

In Pixel Quest: Realm Eater, you can look forward to building your beloved hero squad on a quest to save pixelated realms. And as you fight your way through malevolent creatures, you'll be able to upgrade your magical artifacts to boost your defences and even capture creatures to add to your roster.

Now, these creatures aren't just for show, either - you can take advantage of their magical essence to craft artifacts, so that you can chain combos across the match-3 grid with devastating damage.

Combat is a turn-based affair, with over 60 heroes you can choose from and a wide variety of abilities that suit different playstyles. All these should help you prep for the 70 larger-than-life bosses waiting for you to rise to the challenge, along with the 700 levels you need to conquer to save the day.

Now, the App Store says it's expected to launch on April 30th, but take that with a grain of salt as these things often change without prior notice. While you wait though, why not take a look at our list of the best match-3 games on iOS to get your fill?

In the meantime, if you're eager to join in on all the fun, you can do so by checking out Pixel Quest: Realm Eater on the App Store. It's free-to-play with in-app purchases. You can also have a look at the studio's App Store page to see what else they've got on offer.
