Duet Night Abyss has officially begun its second closed beta test

Final hurdle before launch

Duet Night Abyss has officially begun its second closed beta test
  • The second CBT is now live on PC and mobile
  • New storyline, seven playable characters, and gameplay refinements
  • Loads of freebies to be awarded to everyone

The wait is over as Duet Night Abyss has officially launched its Second Closed Beta on PC and mobile. This final beta test ahead of the full release runs through July 2nd, bringing a host of fresh content including new characters, updated gameplay systems, immersive story chapters, and generous rewards to get you going.

Set in the chilling region of Icelake, Duet Night Abyss’ final CBT opens up the next major storyline arc, Children from the Snowfield. You join the protagonist in a mysterious city plagued by haunting melodies and the fearsome Charon Hunt, unravelling hidden secrets while meeting seven newly added characters, each with their own ties to the conflict.

Combat and gameplay have been upgraded across the board. A major focus this round is on enemy density and impact feedback, giving battles more intensity and tactical flow. Over ten new weapons are available, including Embla Inflorescence, a deadly lock-on weapon for surgical eliminations, and Guixu Ratchet, which unleashes a colossal spinning blade that tears through enemies.

There’s also a new strategic mode, Immersive Theatre, that lets you experiment with team builds and push through increasingly difficult stages. If that’s not up your alley, you can step away from the frontlines to explore casual modes like the Avian Spirit Trials, Advensphere search missions, and Paniemon capture, which expand the world’s lore.

Finally, this beta continues to show love for F2P players. You’ll get to choose your 5-star starter, enjoy a 100% guaranteed first pity on the limited-time banner, and try out three free costumes during the event.

Duet Night Abyss’ global launch shouldn’t be too far off given the final beta is now live. Stay updated on all the latest developments by visiting the official website. And while you wait, be sure to check out this list of the best RPGs to play on iOS right now!
