DC: Dark Legion best teams
I've already covered some of the basics, but one topic that everyone currently playing wants to know is, "Which are the best teams in DC Dark Legion?" And that's exactly what we'll dive into today.
While you could make a lot of teams work (by simply throwing together a few of your strongest champions), these teams are usually not optimised. To optimise a team, you need to take into account a lot of elements, more specifically the synergy between the champions.
Find a synergy that works with the champions you own
Every champion has a couple of traits that can activate additional bonuses. For instance, you have Green Lantern who is part of the Justice League and Energy Wielders, Mera who is part of Energy Wielders, and Superman who is part of the Justice League and Metahumans.Those 3 can be paired up well since they share some synergies. On the other hand, if you were to add The Penguin, he wouldn't really find his place on the team (along with the aforementioned champions) because he is part of Arkham's Most Wanted and Weapon Masters.
To activate any of the synergies a champion has, you must deploy at least 3 champions belonging to said synergy. Simple enough, right?
Aim to get specific champions (and upgrade them)
Now that you have a clear understanding of these synergies, it's time to talk about the teams. What exactly does each hero bring to the table, and who exactly do you want to have on your team?- Don't forget to read the DC Dark Legion tier list too!
On the following pages, I will share some of the best teams you can aim for in DC Dark Legion right now, so check them out and upgrade the heroes you want (or have) from among them!
1
Beginner to F2P team
Beginner
Kicking things off, we have a team you can assemble easily on day 1. The moment you start playing, you'll have access to most of these champions, so they could (and should) be on your main team. These champions are:
- Wonder Woman
- Green Arrow
- Mera
- Black Adam
- Atom/Red Hood/Killer Croc
This team has Wonder Woman, Green Arrow and Mera, who are the champions you get for free at the start. Once you do a few more pulls, you'll also get Black Adam, who is a great Magical DPS. Then, you will have one of these few Legendaries filling in your last slot.
As a whole, this team is extremely balanced and if you get enough dupes to star up all of the champions, you can easily make your way into the end-game content without spending a dime.
F2P teamThe 100% F2P team I recommend is similar to the one you will have as a beginner. The team has the following champions:
- Wonder Woman
- Green Arrow
- Mera
- Black Adam
- Harley Quinn or Superman
The reason we mention Harley Quinn here is because you'll get her guaranteed after 7 days of logging in. If you happen to get Superman in the meantime, he is also a really good replacement. Probably the best!

Mid-tier team
A mid-tier team is a team you can get if you are lucky with the pulls or if you spend some money. The team has the following champions:
- Wonder Woman
- Green Arrow
- Mera/Poison Ivy
- Superman
- Batman/Harley Quinn
In this team, you have a few possible choices. The core is Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Arrow, since the rest can be replaced based on what your team needs and what you currently have. You can get Batman from the beginner pack ($2), while the others if you're lucky in the gacha.
This team is an upgraded version of the F2P team, or could even be considered an alternative to it. Just make sure you equip your best gear on Superman and Wonder Woman, since they're the main damage/tank champions.

High investment team
This last team is currently considered the ultimate team you could have. It's based on a lot of luck, of course, since you need to pull from the gacha not only Superman, but also Shazam, and all the others. It's an outstanding team, even though upgrading these champions is going to be a pain in the backside (since they're all Mythic).
The champions of the teams are these:
- Wonder Woman/Shazam
- Superman
- Mera/Green Lantern/Poison Ivy
- Green Arrow/Batman
- The Flash/Aquaman/Cyborg
As you can see, there are plenty of alternatives, so you can swap whenever you can upgrade one of them more than another. There are also some "cheaper" alternatives (like Wonder Woman to Shazam and Green Arrow to Batman), but you need to try them all out before you commit to one.
