If you've been playing through Haegin's recent Dreamland update, you may have found yourself captivated by the interesting mechanic of needing to sleep to enter this zone. But you might also have wondered what would happen if the clearly fun, surreal dreams of your character suddenly turned dark. Well, now you can find out in the new Nightmare update.
Yes, Dreamland has suddenly become a Nightmare thanks to the influence of the Queen of the Night. Nightmare monsters have begun to not only invade the world of dreams but also the 'real world' of Kaia Island, too. Meaning, of course, you'll need to confront the Queen and her minions to put things right before the event ends on May 21st.
You'll encounter five types of Nightmare Monsters infesting the island, including the Sneering Pillow and the Abandoned Doll, all of which need to be defeated using the newly added Dream Gun. Defeat them all and you'll receive the mount, Bed Consumed by Nightmares, as a special reward!
But it's not just Nightmare Monsters to watch out for, as the normal creatures of Kaia Island have also been corrupted by the nightmares. You'll also find new types of fish and insects, which you can catch to trade for Nightmare Essence event currency.
Meanwhile, in the Dreamland Workshop, you can craft new nightmare-themed furniture such as the Nightmare Music Box and the Nightmare Garden Lamp, and there's a new pet in the form of the Nightmare Sheep to boot.
