A new board game was confirmed to be in the works as part of a partnership between Supercell and Maestro Media, with a Kickstarter campaign slated to go live today.
Yes, the countdown is for Clash of Clans: The Epic Raid, on Kickstarter. Slated to be a true-to-the-original tabletop experience, it will be miniatures-focused and include all the familiar mechanics such as building up your base, raiding other players and so on.
For tabletop nerds, the team behind The Epic Raid is another reason to be excited. Ken Gruhl has previously worked on other top tabletop releases such as Life in Reterra, Mantis and Happy Salmon. Eric M. Lang, meanwhile, will be most recognisable for his work on XCOM: The Board Game, which offered an innovative mix of digital and physical play.
