Persona 5: The Phantom X is coming to mobile and PC this summer
  • Persona 5: The Phantom X is set to arrive on mobile
  • That's worldwide, by the way, as it finally breaks free from its previous eastern-only release
  • Enjoy a wholly original storyline and the same great gameplay from the original Persona 5

A long, long time ago, in days of yore, or 2023 at least, we heard about a new spin-off of the hit Persona series arriving on mobile. Now, almost two years later, Persona 5: The Phantom X is not only coming to mobile and PC worldwide, but it's also coming next month!

Yes, save the date because June 26th is when Persona fans will finally get their mitts on Persona 5: The Phantom X. Seeing you take on the role of a brand-new protagonist leading their own band of Phantom Thieves similar to those in the original Persona 5, you'll get to explore modern-day Tokyo in this mobile adaptation of the hit RPG.

For those not in the know, the Persona series is split between the day-to-day lives of the students whom you interact with, attend classes and extracurricular activities alongside, but also the nighttime action of the so-called Phantom Thieves who're aided by ghostly beings called Personas.

Persona 5: The Phantom X captured the imagination of the Persona fandom. Not being a mere spin-off release, it's practically a standalone sequel on its own. And yes, while it may be riffing on an existing storyline, basically everything aside from the basic premise of the Phantom Thieves and Personas is pretty much entirely new.

Phantom X also offers new palaces, mementoes and a guild feature, alongside the Velvet Trials PvE mode for you to take on. Oh, and we have it on good authority that you'll also be running into some familiar faces from Persona 5, too.

But June is still a while away, so there's plenty of time for you to experience what else mobile RPGs have to offer. Want to get a sample platter? Then why not check out our list of the top 25 best RPGs for iOS and Android?
