These tips and tricks will help you get the most out of the Palmon in their fantastic world.
- Don't worry about survival, worry about productivity
- Each Palmon has a place, so find it
- Be proactive and invest in everything you can
The Pokemon will get you, and you may just have to accept that. It's one of those things that will dominate pop culture long after you and I are gone, but there will be others to grab some of your attention away from it. Though it's never been fully displayed, the Monster Taming genre is a thing, thanks to Pokemon. Many games tried to copy it closely, while others experimented with the mechanics and struggled to develop new monster ideas. PalWorld is still dealing with the fallout of being too close to home, but another is trying to take the stage with Palmon: Survival.
This rising star is the product of Ursa Games, and they want to share their take on the Pokemon recipe. You are a tamer/farmer/survivalist who is exploring a brand new world full of creatures called Palmon. You don't know how you got there, but you have the tools, skills, and resources to start setting up camp and providing for yourself. By exploring, you'll encounter Palmon, and you can battle with lasers to capture them in canisters. By doing this, you can make yourself a whole entourage of critters who seem as skilled in hunting, gathering, and farming as you are. Even with such help, it's a wild world out there, so take some tips to heart.
1
Tip #1 - Laser the Biggest Threats
When you arrive in the world, the first thing you should note is you have a fancy capsule that can be used to capture Palmon. However, aside from that - no, it is not a thermos - it functions as a laser that you can use to attack and weaken aggressive Palmon or Bullies. Even though your Palmon will be doing most of the fighting when it comes down to it, your laser blast can be crucial in determining victory. Your Palmon can handle the small enemies independently, but the big ones must be drained. Some Bullies can summon more Bullies onto the field, so take them out fast!

Tip #2 - Diversify your Team
If you've played any game where you need to build a party of people or creatures to fight for you, it should be evident that you need to make it balanced. Each Palmon has different elements, but they also fall into one of three roles: Attack, Defense, and Technical. The good news is that most Bullies don't have element assignments, so it doesn't matter if you strongly lean toward one element. The bad news is that Bullies can overwhelm your limited party of five, so you need multiple roles. Have a mix of blockers with hard hitters and some techies for support.

Tip #3 - Keep Personalities in mind
An uncommon aspect of Palmon is their personality traits. They can differ quite significantly in their personalities, even those of the same breed. While personality doesn't play a massive role in battle, it can make or break your camping operation. The more you expand your camp, the larger it gets and the more duties you need to fulfil. Assign the most energetic Palmon to the biggest and furthest plots of land while keeping the lazy ones for battling or duties that have them sticking close to the Storehouse.

Tip #4 - Don't Forget the Storehouse
The Storehouse is one of the first buildings you'll unlock, and though it may not be as exciting as the other buildings, it serves a very important purpose. The reality is that even though Palmon are capable of farming, fighting, and harvesting, they don't understand commerce all too well. When a Palmon has gathered enough, they will either drop it off at the related facility or have to take it to the Storehouse. You should stop by it every chance you get not only to collect your harvest for selling but also to keep it empty so that your Palmon aren't just waiting around with their haul.

Tip #5 - Animals Are Your Responsibility
Even though this is a fantastical world filled with the fascinating Palmon, they share it with regular animals (the normies). As you expand your camp, you'll unlock more places for animals to appear and start grazing freely. The animals can include the usual farm cast members such as chickens, cows, and sheep. These guys will produce things independently without any interaction, and when they're ready, they'll need you to come by and collect their product. Sometimes, this involves you playing a little mini-game, but it's worth it to earn some extra money and to have food for your Palmon.

Tip #6 - Level up
With all the fighting that you're going to be doing, levelling up your Palmon is going to be necessary. Interestingly enough, Palmon doesn't gain much experience from battling, no matter how often they do it. They mainly rely on you to feed them unique XP Cookies to help them gain levels. The cookies can be earned from completing battles and other tasks, so you should stock up where you can and feed them to your frontline fighters. These guys can then be made into Senseis at the Palcademy so your other Palmon can reach their level. Keep upgrading the camp to increase the level cap.

Tip #7 - Ride And Feed Your Mount
While expanding your camp, you'll eventually unlock a stable where you can get your hands on some mounts. You'll be running around most of the time, so it'll be nice to have generous creatures to carry you around. Even though mounts don't contribute much to camping or farming, they can lend their power in battle. Each mount can apply modifiers so that your Palmon can become even stronger while you're riding it. Mounts strengthen by being fed particular food you can prepare at the Cooking Pot.

Tip #8 - Make The Most Of Idling
Despite the hands-on approach, you can take in all elements of Palmon: Survival; it doesn't expect you to be present at all times. There are idle mechanics at work that become more prominent as you expand and upgrade your camp. You'll unlock the Adventure option, which allows you to take your Palmon into a series of staged battles for extra rewards. However, it also has the additional function of unlocking more idle earnings. Set up as many pools as possible, from conquering the Idlelands to making requests at the Wishing Fountain, so you can expect rewards waiting for you every time you come back.
