  • Mo.co, Supercell's latest upcoming release, is now in soft launch for iOS and Android
  • Invite sign-ups are open over on the official Mo.co website
  • Jump in and take on hordes of Chaos monsters from parallel worlds

Off the back of some of their highly successful releases receiving some major updates, it seems that Supercell are already planning for their next big hit as the in-the-works Mo.co finally hits soft launch. Arriving today on iOS and Android, you'll still need to wait for an invite by signing up over on the Mo.co official website first.

The best way to describe Mo.co is that it's a much lighter, arcadey version of something like Monster Hunter. You play a hunter tracking and destroying monsters from a parallel world, with isometric hack 'n slash gameplay that lets you smash, slash and use gadgets to destroy your enemies.

Of course, it's not just the gameplay that Mo.co hopes to make itself stand out from the pack. It also boasts a bevvy of upgradeable gear and stylish cosmetics with which to adorn your hunter, all while teaming up with other hunters from across the world.

Supercell are well-known for having a ruthless approach to axing underperforming titles in soft launch; need I cast your mind back to names like Everdale and Flood Rush, amongst many others?

However, it seems that after Squad Busters came out to a slightly frostier reception (although by now, warmed significantly) despite being pegged as a clear winner, Supercell might be taking a more generous approach with their soft launches.

And with its stylish visuals, action-oriented gameplay and plenty of flashy mechanics to suit even the most jaded of multiplayer veterans, it could be that Mo.co serves as a litmus test for what Supercell will bring to mobile moving forward.

In the meantime, if you'd like to find some more top releases, why not check in on our reviews section? This week, Catherine dove into The Great Sneeze and explored how this unusual story-driven game manages to inject a bit of humour into proceedings.
