Black Beacon tier list and a reroll guide

Updated on June 17th, 2025 - Version: 1.1.90 - Latest Additions: Ji Xia, Yuli
Picture this: you start playing Black Beacon and you're even having a great time! But then comes the time to pick one guaranteed 5* character from the gacha, and you're lost. Who do you pick? Are you going to regret it later? No worries - that's what I'm here to prevent. Below, I've created a complete Black Beacon tier list, as well as a short reroll guide that will teach you everything you need to know about characters.
While there are not a lot of characters available just yet, the ones that you can play at the moment are more than enough. You have a reliable DPS in almost all of them, and even the characters you get for free are solid.
The best characters in Black Beacon
In the Black Beacon tier list in front of you, I divided the characters into 4 tiers, with the S tier being the best and the C tier being the lowest. I strongly advise you to play with the characters in the S tier since they aren't hard to get (except for Florence, to an extent), and they are extremely capable in the current state of the game. You should feel good enough to upgrade some of the characters in the A tier, since they're the second-best. Since there aren't a lot of characters right now, all of the available ones can be upgraded and played.

Try to aim for the ones in the highest tiers, since they're considered "the best" right now. The meta is ever-changing though, so consider revisiting this page after a new update, since the rankings might change. And to assist you further, don't forget that we have collected all of the codes for Black Beacon, so feel free to use them after you're done with the tier list.

1
S tier

- Florence
- Li Chi
- Hephae
- Zero
- Qing
- Yuli
Florence is one of the best characters at the moment, which earns her a spot at the top of the Black Beacon tier list. She has burst damage, and can perform her skill rotation fairly easily, even though she has some cooldowns - that's when you swap to another character.
Li Chi's kit is not that easy to learn, but once you master it, he is an insane DPS who can deal with any enemy. He is especially good against bosses, as long as you keep track of his HP.
Zero is the starting character, and despite being just a 4*, she can deal really good damage and is fun to play as well. She's a good character to learn the combos of, and she can also be upgraded fairly easily through the quests/rewards that give you dupes.
2
A tier

- Jia Xi
- Shamash
- Ninsar
- Wushi
- Viola
- Asti
Shamash is a 4* DPS/tank you unlock automatically, but his kit is designed in such a way that makes it fun, allows him to be tanky, but also lets him deal enough damage to not deem him unusable. He's great with most other characters.
Viola has capable AoE and can deal continuous damage, which makes her a good addition to any team. She can be a prudent character to switch to, since her combo when switched in cleaves enemies.
Asti can heal the team, but also deal damage. She is a good fit for any team that goes against enemies who seem to deal too much damage. It's a good character to build and swap in as needed.
3
B tier

- Nanna
- Azi
- Ming
Azi is a debuffer/support who reduces the enemy's DMG Resistance. She can come in handy against tougher enemies, so she can be switched in to apply the debuff and then switch back to your main DPS.
Nanna is a 5* who can deal good AoE damage, but relies a lot on timing and precision. Her combo is not that easy to execute, but when mastered, Nanna can be a solid DPS.
Ming is a good DPS who can act as a secondary damage dealer. She can link enemies, allowing them to share the damage received. She needs to be upgraded quite a bit to be in a higher tier, but otherwise, she's okay.
4
C tier

- Enki
- Logos
- Xin
- Ereshan
Ereshan is an incredible damage dealer but requires a lot of investment. She is good, and she can be a reliable top-tier DPS if she's maxed out.
Enki is a simple and straightforward character. He debuffs enemies, and that's about it. Fairly easy to execute combos, but there are better options.
Xin relies on her combos a lot, which allows her to deal incredible damage. She needs to stack up her passive to deal reliable damage.

Black Beacon reroll guide

To reroll in Black Beacon, the process is fairly simple but quite time-consuming. Since you get Zero, Shamash, Ninsar and Asti guaranteed from the story, you can look to get one of the top-tier characters and that should be good enough. Here's the step-by-step process:
- Log in as a Guest.
- Play through the tutorial until you get to the summon (Retrieval).
- Claim the latest rewards from the Mailbox (also redeem the codes).
- Pull from the gachas. If you have any of the top-tier characters, bind your account - otherwise, continue to the next step.
- Go to Menu -> Settings -> Account.
- Select Log Out and then go to your phone's settings and Clear Data for the game.
- Restart Black Beacon and start over from the first step.
Since it's quite a lengthy process, I personally don't recommend rerolling unless you absolutely want to min-max your account. Most of the characters are great to use, even the 4* ones, so if you're not too keen on spending hours on rerolling, you can simply skip it.
And that's the complete Black Beacon tier list that we have prepared, along with the reroll guide.
