We previously got a taste of what’s coming in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, with the reveal that Chapter 3 would be available at launch, taking you into the turbulent Stormlands under the rule of Stannis Baratheon. Now, with a global launch set for May 21st across mobile and PC, Netmarble has shared even more about what’s waiting when the gates to Westeros finally open.
Games of Thrones: Kingsroad is an action-adventure RPG, which puts you in the role of the heir to House Tyre, an original Northern house that’s been wiped off the map. Starting in the familiar cold and harsh terrain of the North, you’ll carve your own path through a sprawling world that blends new stories with the weight of existing lore.
You’ll be able to choose from three classes – Knight, Sellsword, or Assassin, each offering a distinct approach to combat. The real-time system rewards quick reflexes, smart positioning, and well-timed parries. The world is designed for exploration, with major locations all explorable from launch, complete with side stories and rich environmental details pulled straight from the show’s aesthetic.
We already know Chapter 3 brings new story developments, quests, and some of the most hostile territories yet. This portion of the journey delves deeper into the Baratheon stronghold, with all the layered tension and looming conflict that comes with Stannis’s claim to the Iron Throne. You can also expect enhanced matchmaking, more territories, and an overall polished experience.
