Things may be heating up as summer closes in, but if you want to visit the frigid hinterlands of Nordic mythology, there's no better way than in the newly released Odin: Valhalla Rising. Out now on Android and iOS, this sprawling MMORPG from Kakao Games promises to offer a truly epic (in the literary sense) experience.
Odin: Valhalla Rising offers a vast open take on the Nordic world, where you'll explore many of the nine realms, including Midgard, Jotunheim, Nidavellir and Alfheim. You'll be able to scale mountains, race across the highlands atop your trusty steed and even soar through the sky.
With visuals powered by Unreal Engine 4, Odin: Valhalla Rising certainly isn't slacking in the graphics department. But with four classes to pick from, with the Warrior, Sorceress, Priest and Rogue, you shouldn't find it lacking in gameplay content either. Odin: Valhalla Rising is selling itself on its next-gen quality, it seems.
While it's tempting to gush about the surface-level beauty of Odin: Valhalla Rising, what about under the hood? Well, you'll be glad to know that crossplay is included from day one, and that every effort has been made to optimise Odin: Valhalla Rising for mobile too.
Other additions, such as Guild Wars, are reportedly in the works, and further content updates are promised too. So if you're looking for a saga-like experience in the palm of your hands and want a bit of visual lustre to go with it, then Odin: Valhalla Rising could be for you.
