We have such sights to show you

Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge introduces the Emperor's Children
  • Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge's latest faction is none other than the Emperor's Children
  • Seeking stimulation and sensation, these cruel warriors embody egotism and arrogance
  • Three new warlords, distinct new mechanics and units offer a brand-new experience

If your favourite film series is Hellraiser and you enjoy a bit of ironic naming, then you'll be glad to know that Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge's newest faction is here with the Emperor's Children! With three new Warlords and a host of new mechanics, you'll bring the suffering with this Slaanesh-heavy faction.

The Emperor's Children were formerly a loyalist Space Marine legion which split off from the Imperium during the Horus Heresy. Now loyal only to the chaos god Slaanesh and themselves, they've splintered further into individual warbands that ravage the galaxy in pursuit of new stimulation and sensations.

To reflect this, you've got three new warlords to pick from. Lord Kaphrael focuses on taking out enemy champions and leads the Callous Blades, meanwhile, Xarahan embodies the arrogance and egotism of the Emperor's Children. Finally, there's none other than everyone's favourite immortal slimeball, Lucius the Eternal, boasting spectacular swordsmanship cultivated over millennia.

I see you tremble with antici-pation

The Emperor's Children come complete with some truly disturbing mechanics that mark their units. Cards with Ecstasy receive an effect when their health is lowered to a certain threshold, while those with Cruelty will gain an effect if you damage (but don't destroy) an enemy unit. Stimulation, meanwhile, triggers an ability when the unit is targeted by stratagems. Finally, Combat Elixirs will cause some cards to generate extra stratagems that can be used to trigger their abilities!

Keep your eyes out, because the Emperor's Children will be available in new booster packs and DLC starting now, letting you truly torment your foes with their new abilities and units.

But if that's maybe too much for you, why not check out our latest list of the top five new mobile games to try this week for some more options to keep you stimulated?
