Witness ancient fairy tales come to life

Tengami lets you fold paper puzzles across an atmospheric Japanese adventure, out now on Crunchyroll
  • Immerse yourself in a Japanese pop-up book
  • Fold to solve puzzles
  • Gorgeous visuals and soundtrack

Crunchyroll is adding another entry to its growing library of mobile offerings with Tengami, inviting you to dive into a stunning Japanese-themed paper world. This atmospheric puzzler features gorgeous visuals and an evocative soundtrack to immerse you in its virtual pop-up book, as you navigate everything from enchanted forests to abandoned shrines along the way.

Tengami looks to be a relaxing experience based on the trailer, but it also seems like there's definitely something deeper lurking underneath the polished surface. I don't doubt there's a haunting narrative to unfold here quite literally, as you manipulate folds and creases to progress through the ancient tale.

The soundscapes here have been crafted by composer David Wise - something you can listen to while folding your way through the brainteasers on your journey. But what makes everything even more interesting to me is that you can apparently recreate everything you see in the game IRL - that means authentic crafts that you can create "with just paper, scissors and glue."
