Abyss of Dungeons kicks off Season 4 with Inferno difficulty and Casual mode

If the name Abyss of Dungeons rings a bell, that’s because it was previously known as Dark and Darker Mobile. Since the rebrand, the dungeon-crawling extraction RPG has steadily been expanding, with the latest update bringing Pre-season #4, which is the boldest one yet.
Abyss of Dungeons welcomes the v0.13 update on June 11th in the US and Canada, raising the stakes with new difficulty levels, progression systems, and tweaks that will be great for both thriller-seekers as well as more relaxed adventurers.
The biggest introduction is the Inferno difficulty in the Forgotten Castle. Previously tucked behind a Hell-difficulty portal, it’s now a direct option. Inferno brings punishing enemies, tougher mechanics, and the kind of loot that makes it all worth the risk. If you're looking for a serious challenge, you’ll definitely find it here.
And if you're not in the mood for PvP stress, the Casual Mode now offers a PvE-only path through the chaos. You’ll earn slightly fewer rewards, but you can explore, loot, and survive without worrying about ambushes from other players.
There’s more variety now, too. Nightmare and Hell dungeons randomise their layouts each run, pushing you to adapt on the fly. New and returning players get a 7-day buff to protect equipped gear on failed escapes in Normal, Hard, and Nightmare difficulties.

Competitive players haven’t been forgotten either. Weekly Leagues, Mission Road challenges, and Hot Time events serve up time-limited rewards and incentives to stay sharp. A death recap system, smarter team markers, and a cleaner UI round out a long list of quality-of-life improvements.
