Crashlands 2 makes major adjustments and adds new Legend Mode
  • Crashlands 2 is getting a major new update
  • Legends Mode is even harder, while Explorer Mode is more laid back
  • New adjustments and other additions add even more fun to Crashlands 2

A month on from release, Crashlands 2 has been well-received by critics and players. However, developer Butterscotch Shenanigans has chosen not to rest on their laurels. Instead, they've just released a major new update that offers an even harder mode for fans who have already mastered Crashlands 2, and even more additions to beef out an already jam-packed release.

Legend Mode, as it's called, is simply an even harder mode. Now, aliens and flora will hit even harder, while Flux Dabes is even squishier. But it's also accompanied by Explorer Mode, which offers a much more laid-back experience for fans who just want to fish (fer' cryin' out loud).

Notably, Butterscotch Shenanigans has also heard the feedback of players who lamented departures from the original Crashlands. Now, you'll have access to the returning Compendium, which lists all the stuff you've discovered, as well as how far you are towards uncovering 100% of them.

You'll also finally have use for your companion pets, aside from just looking cute. Update 1.1 makes them into fully-fledged, combat-capable companions. While crafted armour now receives random bonuses, just like it did back in Crashlands.

And if you've also been lamenting the length of the opening before Crashlands 2 opens up, you'll be glad to know that Butterscotch Shenanigans has chosen to address that, too. As version 1.1 adds new weapons, gadgets and trinkets to the beginning, allowing you to experiment and experience the full breadth of Crashlands 2 sooner.

Add to that adjustable darkness at nighttime, more worldspace available for building and home teleporters, and it's clear Crashlands 2 just got even better!
