My Talking Hank: Islands just got its first big update with the addition of a whole new island to explore. By hopping aboard Hank’s boat, you can sail across the sea to Ice Island, where a whole new world of adventure awaits. And a new island means new animals, activities, and treasures to discover. So, here’s a top 10 of tips and tricks to help you get the most from Ice Island in My Talking Hank: Islands.

1
Keep warm & well fed with winter woolies and frozen treats

Upon docking at Ice Island, you'll find a small changing booth marked by a T-shirt sign. Tap the booth and Hank will instantly change into a warm, cozy outfit perfect for the frozen tundra. You can also find individual items of Hank's new winter wardrobe in the trunk at his Tree House.

When Hank's feeling peckish, be sure to check the fridge for the new Ice Island treats. These include an ice cream sundae, an icy soda, and a fluffy cloud of cotton candy - perfect for satisfying his appetite.

2
Hop on the Snowmobile and explore

While you’re welcome to explore Ice Island on foot, trudging through the snow and getting a close look at every detail, the snowmobile is a faster way to get around. Its charging station is close to the dock, so just tap on it to jump on. It has a battery indicator on the front, and when it runs out of charge, you’ll have to take it back to the charging station and get around on foot while you wait for it to charge.

3
Race the Snow Leopard

The Snow Leopard is one of the new animal friends on Ice Island, and he likes to race Hank through a snowy canyon. He’s very fast, so Hank has to use his snowmobile to even stand a chance. Steer the snowmobile by moving your finger side to side at the bottom of the screen. Steer away from obstacles like holes and trees, and steer into coins and speed strips. Those speed strips give you a burst of acceleration, and sometimes even make you jump over obstacles and gaps. If you find you keep crashing, then look out for the shield power up, which will let you hit an obstacle without slowing down.

4
Climb the Ice Cliff

The Snow Leopard isn’t just a fast runner, he’s also a really agile climber. And the second activity you can do with him is to race him up the ice cliff next to his home. On Hank’s side of the wall, all of the rocky handholds are colored either red, green, or yellow. To climb the wall, tap the button at the bottom of the screen that’s the same color as the next handhold. You’ll have to be really fast to beat the Snow Leopard to the top. You’ll get faster with practice, so if you don’t win, just tap the rope button to slide back to the bottom of the cliff and try again.

5
Bounce the floatie as far as you can

The Orca’s first activity challenges Hank to climb aboard a floatie and launch himself across the icy sea. Start by tapping the floatie button just as the arrow is in the middle of the green area, then tap the floatie button again whenever Hank is above something in the water – it could be an ice floe, a crab, a group of penguins, or even the Orca himself. When you tap, Hank will slam himself down hard, and if he hits something solid (i.e. not the water) he’ll bounce higher and further. Keep tapping at just the right time and you can make Hank go a really long way.

6
Solve the Orca’s Amazing Ice Maze

In the Orca’s pool, there are some funny shaped ice blocks and rocks, one of which has some green paint on top. Tap on these rocks to start the Orca’s ice maze activity. Your task on each maze is to reach the painted rock at the far end without falling into the icy water. At each step, you have a choice between the rock on the left and the rock on the right (each of which is marked with a yellow arrow). Tap on one of those rocks, and Hank will hop to it. Choose your route through the maze carefully – you can collect coins on your way through, but watch out for ice blocks! When you stand on an ice block it will crack and break, so move to the next rock before it collapses beneath Hank’s feet.

7
Play Penguin Pop-shot with the Seal

The Seal enjoys nothing more than a playful snowball battle with his neighbors, the penguins. Tap on the Seal to start the activity, then move your finger side to side at the bottom of the screen to move the snowball cannon. It shoots snowballs automatically, so all you have to worry about is, aiming at the penguins and avoiding the snowballs that the penguins are launching back at you. If you get hit by one of their snowballs, your cannon won’t fire for a few seconds. Hit all of the penguins to earn an awesome reward!

8
Go sledding with the Seal

Tap on the Seal or on his sled to start the sledding activity. This is a lot like the Snow Leopard’s snowmobile race, only you’re going down the screen and accelerating faster and faster. Steer the sled by moving your finger from side to side at the bottom of the screen, and try to go through the checkpoints. Focus on avoiding obstacles and hitting the checkpoints, and hit the ramps to perform wild jumps! Hit five checkpoints to complete the activity and earn a reward.

9
Complete the New Arctic Sticker Albums

Sticker collectors rejoice! If you’ve managed to fill all of the sticker albums from Hank’s Tropical Island (and even if you haven’t), there are new Ice Island albums and Ice Island stickers to fill them with. Collect stickers to complete the pictures of Hank’s arctic adventures and earn rewards. Sticker packs can be found all over Ice Island, and you can also earn them by watching ads and completing animal activities.

10
Redecorate Hank’s Tree House with a winter theme

Go to Hank’s Tree House and tap on the paint roller button to start redecorating. Notice that at the right-hand end there’s a new tab with a picture of icy mountains on it. Tap this tab to check out all of the new Ice Island decorations and furniture. Use these new items to make Hank’s Tree House feel like a cozy winter cabin where he can stay warm and safe from the chilly weather outside.
