  • CrazyGames kicks off its Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week
  • The 10-day developer event will run in partnership with Photon
  • Participants will compete for cash prizes and premium Photon licenses

From April 25th to May 5th CrazyGames, in collaboration with Photon, is extending an open invitation for indie developers to join its 10-day global game development marathon: Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025.

In teaming up with Photon, the world's leading multiplayer service provider, this jam will  specifically focus on the creation of innovative web based multiplayer games. Participants will compete for a share of €10,000 in cash prizes and premium Photon licenses, including:

  • 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
  • 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
  • 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)

The only strict guidelines for the event are that games must be developed and submitted during the jam period and adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Other than that, developers are free to let their imaginations run wild!

Launched in 2014, CrazyGames has established itself as the most popular free online gaming platform, utilising HTML5, Java Script, and WebGI technologies to allow players to enjoy smooth browser based gaming sessions for thousands of titles. Alongside Photon, CrazyGames will be lending its support during the event, and will also provide the opportunity for winning games to be published on its platform.

Additionally, a pre-jam livestream will be held on YouTube and LinkedIn on April 24th at 4 pm CEST, offering insight into two new WebGL platforms: Fusion and Quantum. On these new platforms, Photon Engine’s Head of Growth, Mark Val, stated that “Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam?2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform.”

Registration for Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. For more information and to register, you can visit the official jam page.
