  • Event runs from March 7th - 9th in Chile and March 10th - 12th in India
  • Review nominations and earn exclusive rewards for doing so
  • A PokéStop Challenge will also run concurrently

Niantic has just launched the Wayfarer Challenge in Pokémon Go, giving trainers in Chile and India a chance to shape their world while earning exclusive rewards. By reviewing and approving Wayspot nominations on the Niantic Wayfarer platform, you can help introduce new PokéStops and Gyms in Pokémon Go while working toward special milestone rewards.

Pokémon Go’s Wayfarer Challenge runs from March 7th - 9th in Chile and March 10th - 12th in India. During this event, you can nominate real-world locations, such as landmarks, sculptures, street art, and more, to become PokéStops and Gyms.

Reviewing such nominations contributes to milestone goals. If 5,000 nominations are resolved, all participants will receive 20 Ultra Balls, a Star Piece, an Incense, and a Poffin. If the community reaches 10,000 approvals, the rewards improve to 25 Ultra Balls, two Star Pieces, two Incense, two Poffins, and a Lucky Egg.

To take part, you need to be at least level 37 in Pokémon Go and have a Niantic Wayfarer account. If you're new to the platform, you’ll need to complete the Wayfarer Orientation before reviewing nominations.

You also need to have played in Chile or India recently or set your Wayfarer Hometown or Bonus Location to one of these countries. To qualify for rewards, you must review at least 50 nominations, and at least one milestone must be reached.

Before you go on, be sure to redeem these Pokémon Go codes!

Alongside this, the PokéStop Challenge event will run from March 9th to 12th exclusively in Chile and India. As you explore newly added PokéStops, you’ll get 3x XP for first-time visits, 3x Stardust from opening Gifts, and increased Kecleon spawns. Event Field Research will offer encounters with Eevee, while Timed Research gives you a chance to catch other Pokémon.
