World of Tanks Blitz teams up with UFC fighter Jan Blachowicz to celebrate 11th anniversary
Polish power comes to Blitz

- World of Tanks Blitz is turning 11
- To celebrate, they've made a fairly strange advert with UFC fighter Jan Blachowicz
- Alongside that, there are some goodies up for grabs in Blitz
Sometimes collaborations just make sense, and when I heard that World of Tanks Blitz was teaming up with UFC fighter Jan Blachowicz, I simply nodded my head and thought, "Yeah, that sounds about right.” After all, mixed martial artists and boxers alike love shouting about going to war with their opponents during press conferences.
Of course, if you're into MMA, you'd know that Jan Blachowicz is a generally more classy individual than some fighters and has a good sense of humour. He gets that it's perfectly possible to knock another bloke out while not taking himself overly seriously outside of the octagon, as shown in the thirty-odd-second ad he appears in.
It sees him on a date with a tank, celebrating their 11th anniversary. I won't lie. It's equal parts cringeworthy, amusing and downright bizarre. And if that doesn't make something essential viewing, I'm not sure what does. You can check it out in all its glory below.

Of course, the real 11th anniversary belongs to World of Tanks Blitz itself, but it's us who stand to benefit. Simply log in before July 6th, and you'll get a Festive Container. What's inside? Well, that depends. The older your account, the greater the reward. Anyone new to Blitz might feel a bit miffed by that, but I'm okay with long-standing fans getting some special treatment now and then.
Tanks for the free stuff
Mostly because that's not the only reward up for grabs, and, once again, you only need to log in, this time between June 20th and July 4th. Doing so will net you a Tiger-Maus tank. Then, by playing between June 26th and July 13th, you'll snag a Turbo Collector tank, complete with Firestorm Legendary camo. I'm choosing to believe this is a reference to the pneumatic front-hinged flipper competitor from Robot Wars, regardless of any solid evidence to the contrary.
Finally, there's also an event path to complete for anyone willing to put in some effort beyond opening Blitz. Doing so will see a shiny Tier VIII Bisonte C45 tank added to your garage. Plenty to look forward to then, and Wargaming has mentioned there is more to come.
World of Tanks Blitz is available on the App Store and Google Play, where it's free to play with in-app purchases. If Jan's involvement has intrigued you, you can download it for your preferred platform using the buttons below.
